And so it begins

The new PA-22/20 Restoration Team met Saturday 01/14 for introductions, orientation, donuts, pizza and hot coffee. For some it was their first encounter with the plane and the hanger. EAA240 members and also several folks new to it all braved the cold to join us as we kicked off the restoration project. Chuck Shipman gave our team a tour of the hanger, and overview of tools, equipment and hanger safety. Chuck and Melissa Ortega provided detailed information on the processes that will be required to make the restoration a success. The team gathered around the PA-22/20, shared stories, asked questions, made contacts and started to envision the journey and our ultimate goal. Pizza, provided by Chuck, finished off the day and sent our team home with new excitement and full bellies until we meet again Wednesday night 01/18 at 5:30 pm.
